Techniques used:

ART Active Release Technique

In addition to using chiropractic adjustments to treat patients, the primary technique Dr. Christianson uses is Active Release Techniques (ART). ART is a hands on soft tissue treatment that helps muscles, joints, ligaments, fascia, tendons and nerve entrapments. It is widely used to treat occupational and athletic injuries. Dr. Christianson’s chiropractic training focused on becoming proficient in the following chiropractic techniques: Gonstead, Motion Palpation, Activator, and Diversified. He is also board certified in physiotherapy and uses stretches, exercises, stress relief principles and nutrition to help his patients.

While completing his certification through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association he gained proficiency and certification in Webster's Technique for pregnant mothers. This chiropractic technique helps to correct sacral misalignment, balance pelvic muscles and ligaments which in turn removes torsion to the woman's uterus, its resulting constraint to the baby, and allows the baby to get into the best possible position for birth.
